First, the application data needs to be conceptualized by the developer into a meta model (an XML document). This is the LEONARDI MMI Model, that describes the business world in terms of data, structure (based on classes and attributes), collaboration and processing methods that end users are likely to request. The MMI Model can be generated either in an automated way, by introspecting existing databases, data flows or UML models, or by using LEONARDI Studio, our IDE.
