The LEONARDI product line is based on a common architecture, insuring modularity and upward compatibility between the different bundles and modules available.

LEONARDI consists of 4 product lines:

• LEONARDI FREE GPL
  LEONARDI FREE GPL is the open source version of the framework. It is intended for the free world and aimed at being used exclusively with other open source technologies

• LEONARDI AGILE
  LEONARDI AGILE is especially designed for projects with short deadlines that use RAD (Rapid Application Development) or XP (eXtreme Programming) methodologies. It also fits well projects with prototyping purposes.

• LEONARDI EVOLUTION
  LEONARDI EVOLUTION typically addresses the needs of existing GUI applications that need to be modernized and migrated to rely on today’s technologies and standards, such as legacy applications or aging business packages.

• LEONARDI FACTORY
  LEONARDI FACTORY is the most advanced and complete LEONARDI offer. It addresses big scale projects where the integration of functional and technical aspects is often more complex.

These products are incremental and designed for fulfilling different kinds of requirements.

They are all provided with LEONARDI Studio.

LEONARDI Studio is a freely available IDE that accelerates the development process. Using LEONARDI Studio is the best way of getting familiar with the framework’s concepts and of implementing an application from scratch.

LEONARDI Studio provides a user-friendly way of designing the business model. It comes with various features that allow discovering the model from an existing structure (meta data module), or generating database schemas from the model.

In version V4.0, Studio also provides a convenient graphical form builder that allows for an easy design of the GUI layout. The forms are designed thru a simple drag & drop mechanism that allows to map available data fields with GUI controls and layouts.

LEONARDI Studio is itself a LEONARDI based application. It is available either as a standalone desktop application, or as an Eclipse plug-in.
